We will make our city one of the best-developed cities of the world like Seoul, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur in the next five years and for that we have to own our country by empowering our masses. This was stated by Federal Minister for Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis Farooq Sattar while inaugurating the tallest building of the country Ocean Towers on Saturday. He said Karachi is the 12th fast-growing city of the world according to the WEF, and this was made possible by dint of enabling the people of this city to show the versatility of Karachi to the world. The minister further said that this is a historic day for Karachi in terms of the gift of the tallest building being given to the public as a recreational spot. It’s a fun place, this project of Ocean Towers is the best model of public-private partnership with the theme ‘unity in diversity’, he added. He further said that Karachi contributes 60% to the national economy due to its industry and ownership that means flyovers, bridges, underpasses etc and if we need to have sustainable growth in the long run we have to own our country.
