Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Karachi Zone A on Wednesday blasted their way into the quarter-finals of the National Under-14 Football Championship at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad. AJK will lock horns with Punjab, while Karachi Zone A will take on Sindh in the quarter-finals.
Nowshera and Karachi Zone B are the other teams which have advanced into the last eight stage. The remaining two quarter-finalists will be decided on Thursday (today). In Wednesday’s crucial game, AJK held Sindh to a 1-1 draw. The draw that gave a single point helped Sindh top Group D with seven points, while AJK ended second with three points.
