Karachi stocks witness bullish trend, gain 193 pts

The Karachi stock market continued to witness a bullish trend on Tuesday as assurance of support by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and coalition partners to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) case hearing before the Supreme Court bench propelled investors to take positions in scrips across-the-board.

The Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100-share index gained 192.51 points or 1.73 percent to close at 11,305.16 points as compared to 11,112.65 points of the previous session. The KSE 30-share index was up by 156.47 points to close at 10,429.45 points as compared with 10,272.98 points.
